Jandi Berry

Individual Placement Support Program Manager Jandi Berry

How I help:

I have always had a strong desire and drive to help others. When starting at Pawnee Mental Health in 2017 as a Case Manager, I fell in love with the environment, culture, and supportive staff. I felt like I was in a place where I could utilize my skills, natural gifts, and passion for helping others succeed. It has been fulfilling to see our consumers and my peers grow and reach their career goals over the years.

I am currently the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Manager. This role has strengthened my leadership skills by helping develop a new program that allows us to work with consumers to reach their education and employment goals. Seeing the IPS staff succeed in helping our consumers get the competitive job they want has already been rewarding.

My specialties:

I have over 20 years of working in social service and have been in several leadership roles. I graduated from Kansas State University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and Human Services. Before graduating, I did several internships that gave me various experiences, such as working with pregnant mothers who needed to connect to community resources, working at an after-school program with youth, and a day program with kids.

My own humbling experiences and past challenging work experiences have helped shape my character, preparing me for being the IPS Manager at Pawnee today.

More about me:

Although working with the mental health population has been a strong desire of mine, being a mother to my three kiddos has always been my biggest priority. I have always tried to be their number one cheerleader while they participated in singing competitions and sports activities.

For the last ten years, I have been a part of the Flint Hills choir, which has allowed me to perform the Handel Messiah with my mother, and the opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York City, which has always been a dream of mine.

I love watching Kansas State University sports. I have been a fan since I moved to Manhattan in the late 90s.
