How I can help:

I'm Kendra, and I've dedicated over 25 years of my career to helping people. It's been a rewarding journey, and I'm excited to continue making a difference as the Same Day Access Manager at Pawnee Mental Health. In my role, my aim is to ensure that clients receive the services they need in a timely and efficient manner.

My specialties:

I have dedicated my clinical practice to treating children, youth, teens, and young adults who are facing challenges such as trauma, abuse, ADHD, and anxiety. My specialization lies in working with children who have unique needs related to foster care, adoption, and Autism.

To provide the highest level of care, I have pursued specialized training and certifications. I am a Certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, allowing me to effectively address trauma-related concerns. Additionally, I am a Registered Play Therapist, utilizing play-based interventions to support children in expressing themselves and processing difficult emotions.

More about me:

I find great fulfillment in teaching and supporting new clinicians, as well as in my own continuous learning journey about people, mental health, and self-discovery. Life, to me, is an ongoing process of experiencing new things, learning from them, and making adjustments to become the best version of ourselves.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I cherish spending time with my adult children, who bring me immense joy, and my two beloved beagles.

My educational journey began at Washburn University, where I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Social Work. Later, I pursued my Doctorate of Social Work at Capella University.
